Airtel and Vodafone iPhone 3GS Data Plans in India

Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Vodafone Essar Ltd. on Friday started selling Apple Inc.'s iPhone 3GS in India.The launch of the iPhone 3GS comes to India more than a year after it was launched in the U.S. Bharti Airtel will sell iPhone 3GS through retail stores and select Airtel outlets across the country, where as Vodafone hasn't yet revealed its distribution plans.

The fastest and the most advanced version of the iPhone series, the iPhone 3GS is equipped with an array features such as video camera, voice control, digital compass, spotlight search, voice memos and landscape keyboard. The speed of the iPhone 3GS is twice faster than the iPhone 3G while loading the web pages, launching apps, open attachments and taking pictures. The iPhone 3GS delivers a more enriching and responsive iPhone experience. The handset also provides access to Apple’s App store having more than 150,000 applications from games to social networking to financial planning and health management.

The pricing details of the iPhone 3GS in India , the older 8GB 3G version of the iPhone will continue to be sold here at a price of Rs. 29,500. The 16GB 3GS will set you back by a cool Rs. 35,500 while the top-end, 32GB iPhone 3GS will cost an outrageous 41,500 in India. Currently Airtel provides only a single data plan for its both prepaid as well as postpaid users.
