How to add Facebook Like button to Blogger, Wordpress and Websites

Facebook on wednesday have the launched the Like button for the web that enables users to share a page or an article or things that user like on web directly tn Facebook. As a blogger or webmaster you wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity of getting your site and posts shared among Facebook users. Which could fetch you up more traffic to your site. This is how to add the button to your websites.






Blogger Platform:


Finally we have made it. We have hacked the Facebook Like Button for blogger platform. It was a tedious task to make this script work out! Blogger users will have to enter <data:post.url/> in the “URL to like” box to get the code. Here goes the step by step process:


Step 1: Open Blogger dashboard, go to Edit HTML.


Step 2: Backup your template by clicking Download Full Template. [Very important]


Step 3: Now,Click the Expand Widget Templates.


Step 4: Use your Browser's search feature (Ctrl+F) to find the following line of code (or similar code line):  <data:post.url/>


Step 5:  Now just after it put the following code facebook iframe hacked code  from below:

<iframe allowTransparency='true' expr:src='"http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=" + data:post.url + "&amp;layout=standard&amp;show-faces=true&amp;width=450&amp;height=25&amp;action=like&amp;colorscheme=light"' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' style='border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:25px'/> 


Step 6: Now save the template and it's all done. and now show off the articles liked by your visitors on facebook.


Wordpress Platform:


For Wordpress blogs, type php_the_permalink in “URL to like” box. Click on “Get Code” to receive the code.






Now embed the code in your Wordpress theme single.php file.


For other websites:


For static pages, simply type the URL of the page and embed it on that page. Repeat this for every page where you want to implement the code, each time generating a new code for the given page.

Mark Zuckerberg this Wednesday unveiled a box of new tools that he says would extend the Facebook's social networking phenomenon to every corner of the Internet. The announcement came at a conference for Facebook developers called F8, in which Zuckerberg revealed that the world’s largest social networking site has 400 million registered users. These include 100 million who use Facebook Connect, the company's online identity technology that allows users to use their profile on thousands of other websites. 


A month ago, Facebook surpassed Google to become the most-visited US website, and the new tools announced by Zuckerberg should help it extend that dominance, called Open Graph, a new technology that helps in transformative thing on web. This technology will allow partner sites to leverage the user's social connections to make the site more relevant to the individual and their social network. 



For example, a Facebook users who visit CNN can see the stories their Facebook friends liked. If they listen to the music streaming service Pandora, the songs they like can automatically be fed to their networks. This feature includes a "like button" that partner sites can embed and which will allow Facebook users to rate the content. He predicted that in the first 24 hours of the technology going live the new buttons would be used over 1 billion times.

Facebook is scaling back on the word "Fan" and usage of "Like" on brand pages. According to a confidential e-mail sent to ad agencies today, facebook will replace "Become A Fan" button to read "Like" within the next few weeks. This new “Like” button will also be part of Facebook’s broader Open Graph API that will extend much of the Facebook Pages functionality anywhere on the web. "'Like" offers a simple, consistent way for people to connect with the things they are interested in. This will make more connections across the site, including with your branded Facebook Pages.

Facebook earlier today tweeted "Delete emails asking u to open an attachment to get a new Facebook password. They're fake and not from us" against the spoofed email going around.

According to McAfee, if a user tends to open such a mail with has attach to it, since that appears to be very convincing, and the “From:” field can even be spoofed to include “Facebook” or “The Facebook Team.” The user actually installs a password stealer that can “potentially access any username and password combination utilized on that computer.”

However millions of users continue to be deceived. There are Facebook groups like “Facebook will be paid from July!” but it’s a flat out lie used as a way to drive thousands of users to the group. While Facebook has shut down group spreading this false information.
