Rendezvouz Sports and BCCI has today signed the franchisee agreement here putting to rest speculations that the IPL Kochi team will be scrapped. Rendezvous Sports World Ltd headed by Shailendra Gaikwad is a consortium of several businessmen and firms, including Parinee Developers Pvt. Ltd, Anchor Earth, Film Waves and Anand Shah Developers. IPL commissioner Lalit Modi, Kerala Cricket Association and Rendezvous had denied rumours that they had sold 25 per cent stake to unknown entities.

IPL 2010 SCHEDULE

Cricket fans could not have been much happier, as the DLF IPL 2010 will be held in India this time, as the 2009 IPL was held in South Africa. And the organisers of the Indian premier League have included four new venues for hosting the season 3 matches; Vishakhapatnam, Nagpur, Dharmasala and Ahmedabad are the new cities to host a few matches of the following teams; Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals. The IPL 3 tournament will begin from March 12th 2010 – April 25th 2010.
