Facebook is scaling back on the word "Fan" and usage of "Like" on brand pages. According to a confidential e-mail sent to ad agencies today, facebook will replace "Become A Fan" button to read "Like" within the next few weeks. This new “Like” button will also be part of Facebook’s broader Open Graph API that will extend much of the Facebook Pages functionality anywhere on the web. "'Like" offers a simple, consistent way for people to connect with the things they are interested in. This will make more connections across the site, including with your branded Facebook Pages.
